Highbrow founder Sarah Mays understands that every client’s individual taste and needs are unique. She is committed to taking the time to fulfill your vision and create a look that works beautifully for you. She began her permanent makeup career in 2000 with continuing education throughout the years. She is particularly excited to have seen the industry flourish with the advanced equipment, tools and pigments.
She brings the passion, experience, skill, and techniques honed in her 30+ year career as a Hollywood makeup artist to Highbrow. Sarah firmly believes that you don’t have to be a celebrity to get the best level of service and world class results. Everybody deserves high quality customized cosmetic treatments in a private and relaxing environment.
Sarah began her studies in the field of makeup in Hollywood in 1985 attending the Joe Blasco Makeup Center, where she learned everything from beauty to special effects. She went on to explore a career bringing her over 80 credits including “The Notebook,” “The Blindside,” “Sweet Home Alabama” and “Hunger Games.” She has been a “personal” makeup artist to many stars including Dolly Parton, Emma Stone, Ben Stiller and Josh Lucas. (It’s a secret on whom received permanent cosmetics from her!)
In 2000, Sarah opened Permanent Cosmetics of Atlanta, Inc. in Buckhead where she furthered her knowledge and became Atlanta’s premier permanent cosmetic technician. “A lot has changed over the years and my clients are excited about today's new techniques and available options, from microblading to ombré effect etc…” says Sarah.
